Meet Your Maker:

The story behind jirschele leather

From a small Wisconsin workshop, Jirschele Leather was born from a love of craftsmanship, timeless design, and creating pieces that are meant to last.

I'm Theresa, the maker behind Jirschele Leather. Every bag, wallet, and leather good that leaves my workshop is created one piece at a time using traditional leatherworking techniques. Each piece is carefully cut, stitched, and finished by hand—not mass produced, but thoughtfully crafted.

My passion is creating leather goods that are more than accessories. They are pieces you carry, use, and eventually pass down.

Crafted the Traditional Way

Every Jirschele Leather piece is hand stitched using the traditional saddle stitch method. It is a slower process, but one that creates exceptional strength and durability. Every stitch represents the time, care, and attention that goes into creating something truly special.

In a world of fast fashion and disposable products, I believe in making things differently.

"Each project tells a story, and it’s a privilege to bring those stories to life through my work."

Leather With a Story

I am especially drawn to leather that already has a history. Repurposed cowboy boots, old saddles, and unique leather pieces are given new life in my workshop, becoming something completely new while honoring the story they carried before.

The marks, scars, and character found in natural leather are not flaws—they are reminders that every piece is unique.

Made to Be Cherished

My goal is simple: create beautiful, functional leather goods that become part of your story.

Thank you for supporting handmade craftsmanship and allowing me to share my passion with you.
